What counts as an entity?
One event counts as one entity, however many outcome markets sit underneath it. An election event carrying twelve candidate markets is a single entity, not twelve — so the plan limits go further than they first look. See what an event object contains for the full schema.
What's the difference between entities and requests per minute?
They are two separate limits. Entities cap how much distinct data you pull over a month. Requests per minute caps how fast you can ask for it. Signal allows 2,000 entities per month at 10 requests per minute, Edge raises that to 100,000 at 50, and Alpha to 3,000,000 at 200.
What happens if I hit my monthly entity limit?
Requests are blocked until your billing cycle resets, or until you upgrade. Nothing is charged automatically for going over, so you can't run up an unexpected bill. You can track consumption against your limit on the /account/usage endpoint — our best-practices guide covers how to stay inside it.
Which plan should I start on?
Signal if you are prototyping or running something low-traffic — it has no time limit and needs no card. Edge once you need sub-minute updates or historical data for backtesting. Alpha for production workloads that need the full archive and the fastest available updates. You can see what a request looks like before committing to anything.
Is there a free trial on the paid plans?
Yes. Edge and Alpha both include a 7-day free trial, and you can cancel any time before it ends without being charged. The Signal plan is free permanently rather than a trial — there is no card required and no expiry.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, through the billing portal. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You can manage your subscription here.
Do you offer custom or higher-volume plans?
Yes. Volume above the Alpha tier and WebSocket streaming are both available on custom plans — streaming gives you a persistent connection instead of polling. Talk to us about what you need.
